My Portfolio
A collection of my projects as well as sketches.
Projects
First major project of the year. We chose three objects from home then proportioned them to have larger sizes and chose a singular color scheme to color them by.
My choice of colors followed an analogous scheme, I chose these colors as a counter to the Jester doll's and art figure's actual colors. In choosing my items I wanted to be able to find some sort of story connecting the three things. It was a fun challenging project that I enjoyed doing. The goal that I had was just to have as many diverse patterns that still connected to each other as possible.

Contour Project
Clay Paint Palette Project
Second project, we worked with clay to create a palette for paint.
I created mine based on the Emperor Moth. I find those moths quite beautiful, and have to say they are my favorite insects. I had multiple other ideas but settled on the moth for its simplicity with shape and plenty of space to make the paint wells.

Felt Food Project
My third project, felt food. In this project we used pieces of felt to create a piece or food or meal, we stitched and stuffed the felt to create a plushy of sorts. I used the stitch patterns of a blanket stitch, Running stitch, and Chain stitch. I found the chain stitch most difficult.
I chose Tiramisu for my food, due to my deep infatuation with the dessert. I found the project particularly difficult because of how unstable my hands can being that I have constant tremors, and found that stitching by hand was quite hard- I kept dropping the needle or stabbing myself- Otherwise it was quite fun and even therapeutic.

Linoleum Print
This fourth project is a Linoleum print for Valentines Day. We carved an image into a stamp of Linoleum, the image was supposed to represent love to us, the artist, without out and saying love or just drawing a simple heart shape.
I chose the ribcage and flower because I feel like love for specifically women is constantly depicted with flowers, usually by giving flowers to a girl or just that girls "flower" within love.
I enjoyed this project, I found it particularly fun carving the Linoleum.

Final Linoleum Print
This is the fifth and the final project with Linoleum printing- Our own printing of Lotería, the theme being Music Albums.
Like the project before we had to carve into our Linoleum block with the mind of where we wanted the color to be and where we didn't want the color to be.
I chose the single, Elf, is by the Japanese Pop singer Ado.
This album cover is not only an absolute beauty but also holds a deep and wonderful story, about a caged elf.
I very much enjoy the song as well as enjoyed carving it out and making my own prints.

Surrealism Watercolor Project
This is the sixth of the year. We were assigned a letter and then a background. I was given the letter A and the background of a kitchen. Then we were instructed to watercolor the base and then add detailed touches with Prismacolor pencils.
The background, kitchen, was inspired by an old advertisement from the 1950s. My chosen A objects were, Angel, Aphrodisiac (Pomegranate), Akita (Dog Breed), Arms, Apron, and Avian (Bird). I enjoyed the process in the creation of this project, though had trouble keeping up with deadline.
This was fun, I have a personal infatuation with anything surreal- and enjoyed delving more into the abstractness of this project.

Cardboard Graffiti Project
This is the seventh and final project for this class. In this project we were expected to design a graffiti tag on paper, then duplicate that design and color it in with marker, then carve another duplicate out of cardboard and paint it with acrylic paint.

I chose to use my alias "Ghost" for my tag, and then include my own design of lettering for the actual word. The colors were all chosen in the mind of contrast with bright neons against soft blues.
I enjoyed designing the graffiti, finding the coloring of the paper edition an enjoyable experience, but quite disliked the actual painting of the cardboard cut out.

Over all, I found the majority of this project good fun- discounting the end painting- if I could go back, I believe I would've attempted to have had some better, time management. But, then again- this was a fun final project, and helped broaden my understanding of different artforms, such as graffiti- and the hardships these artists face.

Other Finished Works

Green Clown
I had been put into a Post Hospitalization Program, and met another artist who was majorly infatuated with clowns. I briefly shared that passion months before, so- when I saw their art, and also learned their choice of material was watercolor, I decided that I'd give it a try. And thus this piece-
In the beginning it was just a simple drawing of the clown in green- after awhile I added smaller details, such as the dead tree, blue road, and boxes.
This was a very enjoyable thing to make, and it was my first real work with watercolor- I am decently proud of it, though I wish I could've cleaned it around the edges.

Parasite Painting
This painting was made for my Veterinary Science class- The painting was for a project on parasites, we had to research our chosen parasite or microorganism and then paint a painting representing that organism.
I chose the parasite, Blowfly- I chose this one because of the bugs natural metallic color, that I knew would be a wanted challenge for me.
I enjoyed painting this project, and am proud of the finished project.
Sketches
Sketch Dumps

1a

These four sketches were all drawn using the reference of a singular website, Sketch Daily, which gives easy access to useful pictures for dynamic posing as well as anatomy. This website also times you while you draw, sketches 1a and 2a were all drawn within a 30 second time period while 1b and 2b were drawn during a 5 minute time period.

Original Characters (OCs)

These two are two of my favorite (lets be honest- they are my favorites) original characters. On the left we have the character Takumi De Chiel and on the right we have Yang Xìngyùn. They are both OCs that I've had for the longest time. The drawing on the right is one of my numerous takes on drawing the man- while on the left, this is the first time I actually took to sketch him out.

Fanart

These two sketches are of the characters Sirius Black and Remus Lupin from Harry Potter. They're specifically drawn to be of what I believe they would of looked like younger and maybe a little less sad. I am quite the Harry Potter geek and have been sense fourth grade- In the beginning that fancy was towards the actual main characters of the books, now after a break of interest to say- I've fallen for these two losers and can't help thinking of them as my favorite characters from the whole of the series.
